CAPACITY BUILDING TRAININGS HAVE BEEN CONDUCTED TO SRAMA MITRA CRPs IN GARIVIDI CLUSTER, A TOTAL NO.,OF 36 SRAMA MITRAS WERE TRAINED FOR THREE DAYS AT CLRC BUILDING, CHEEPURUPALLI, THE TRAINING HAS BEEN ORGANISED IN RESIDENTIAL MANNER.
The CRPs in turn will conduct trainings of Mates i.e  Srama mitras, in their Mandals during November month.

PLANNING PROCESS STARTED IN MGNREGS

Planning process started in vizianagaram district,. Planning is an important process in the programme for preparing Shelf of works for providing wage employment and for creating durable assets. All the Gram Panchayats are visited during this period and Works will be identified in each village by a team . Estimates are prepared and forwarded for approval. Gram sabhas are conducted and resolutions are taken. participation of more no. of wage seekers, villagers and public representatives is being ensured for transparency in MGNREGS works. Labour budget requirement is worked out for the year 2014-15.

Government to spend Rs. 450 crores for godowns under MNREGA

To smoothen the supply and plug leakage of food grains under the public distribution system, godowns will be constructed at the block level through the country, the Minister of Rural Development Jairam Ramesh announced this week. The godowns, with an initial capacity of 1.5 million tones, will be constructed under the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarentee programme at a cost of Rs 450 crores. The average capacity of such godowns will be 3,400 tonnes and foodgrain to meet three month’s requirement could be stored in them.----INDIA WATER PORTAL

On Vigilance team visits during May2013

For the past one month we have visited 57 villages in Garividi cluster ie in 5 Mandals.
except one or two all works are Desilting of MI tanks.F.As are warned in some cases.
There are no fake musters in any village.ECs and APOs are instructed to revisit the areas and take up correction measures as indicated.
 Horticulture Pitting work is also visited. farmers are advised to complete pitting during Summer itself. They are informed that it will expose the Harmful Fungi and insectslike Termites which will be destroyed during Hot weather.There by the survival percent of Horticulture plantations will certainly increase.
How ever as the soils in Garividi mandal are mostly Gravel, farmers/wage seekers  are not in a position to dig pits during hot summer where there is no summer showers  and this item is slowed down.

How ever continuous review of field assts., and persuation of farmers is being taken up.Pitting areas are frequently visited and Spacing is observed and pits are being measured , which will ensure good growth and creation of assets ie Horticulture Gardens.

Vigilance team conducted surprise visits of on going works of NREGS in  Chinabantupalli and  Garbham villages of Merakamudidam mandal.
 During the visit all Musters are verified. . Attendance and  Binamis are observed,
Amount of average wage per day  is observed.
Absentees are marked zero attendance.
 Musters are signed.

wage seekers are enlightened on measurements and summer allowances and
 their problems are enquired and advised on precautions for their protection .
They are informed that Govt will pay upto the last paise for the work done by them and they have no need to pay any thing  to any one under any circumstances.They have rights to get  timely payments for their hard work.

Daily report is submitted to PD DWMA. VIZIANAGARAM for further action.
